Customising and adapting the templates

The Gaia Project Plan caters for strategy projects, IT and e-business projects, business improvement, business analysis and Business Process Re-Engineering projects.

However, the method also caters for projects of different type and nature:

• Elements may be added
• Elements may be omitted
• Elements may be modified

A procedure for each template guides the user through customising.

Creating a Project Plan

To create a specific project plan, most elements of the Gaia Project Plan require adding the content and filling in values. This is part of the project planning and the procedures guide the project manager in this activity.

Values will come from meetings, such as decisions and dates or from sources within the organisation, such as process descriptions, maps and base data.
